You can access your course with either your username (which was provided by us and looks like smith7827567165 ) or with the email address you signed up with.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 \u00a0After completing our Online Notary Council Course, how do I register for and take the California State\u00a0Exam?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 \u00a0You may go to the CPS HR Website (https:\/\/exam-registration.cpshr.us\/notary\/notary)\u00a0\u00a0for exam dates and testing sites nearest you. \u00a0You may register for a notary public exam either online or by phone up to 15 business days prior to the exam. \u00a0To register by phone, please contact CPS at (916) 263-3520, M-F, 8 am \u2013 5 pm. A confirmation scheduling letter will be sent to you via email or USPS, depending on how you registered. Also at the website, you may print the Notary Public Application (or have mailed to you if you registered by phone), which you will need to complete and bring with you to the testing site.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 \u00a0When is the Next State Exam?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 \u00a0You can find the next State Exam in your area here: https:\/\/exam-registration.cpshr.us\/notary\/notary<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 \u00a0Where are the State Exams?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 \u00a0State exams\u00a0are all up and down California, to find the next one in your area <a href=\"https:\/\/exam-registration.cpshr.us\/notary\/notary\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">click here<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 \u00a0I purchased your course via Groupon, how do I activate it?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 To activate your course please first section the appropriate course\u00a0and add it to your cart. During checkout process enter your Groupon Code in the Promo Code box and your shopping\u00a0cart balance will be set to $0. At this time please finish the signup process.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 \u00a0How do I prove I have completed your online course?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 \u00a0Once you have successfully completed our online state accepted notary course, you will be given a certificate of completion. You will need to print this certificate and take it with you to your Notary Public Exam.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 \u00a0I have misplaced my completion certificate?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 \u00a0Don\u2019t worry, you can always log back into your account on our site and reprint your certificate of completion letter.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 How much does the Notary Public Exam cost?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 You will need to bring a $40.00 separate check or money order, payable to the Secretary of State, \u00a0to the testing site for ALL new applicants. You will need to bring a $20.00 separate check or money order, payable to the Secretary of State, to the testing site for applicants that have previously taken the exam and failed.<\/p>\n<h3>Q &#8211; I though Everyone Had to Go Through NNA?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A &#8211;<\/strong> No, everyone does not need to go through NNA (Nation Notary Association) as both our courses are approved by the Secretary of State for the training courses.<\/p>\n<h3>Q &#8211; Will I receive A Certificate At The End?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A &#8211;<\/strong> Yes, you will receive a Proof of Completion certificate that you will need to complete your state filing.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 How long is the Notary Public Exam?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 The Notary Public Exam consists of multiple-choice questions. \u00a0It is a closed book exam, administered by proctors from CPS HR ONLY! \u00a0You will need to allow 1 \u2013 2 hours for proctor instructions and testing.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 How long does it take to receive the test results to the Notary Public Exam?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 Results from you Notary Public Exam will be emailed (if you provided an email address in the upper right-hand corner of your application), or mailed to you via USPS approximately 15 business days following the exam. \u00a0Exam results will not be discussed over the phone. \u00a0A 70% is passing.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 If I fail the Notary Public Exam, how soon can a take it again?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 Candidates not passing the exam will be mailed a fail notice. \u00a0Candidates can test ONLY once per calendar month. \u00a0If the exam is taken more than once, the second score will be invalid and all monies paid and fees will be forfeited.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 How long will it take to receive my notary commission after I pass the exam?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 The notary public commission is issued by the Secretary of State\u2019s office. \u00a0Processing times vary. \u00a0To check current processing times, please visit the Secretary of State website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.ca.gov\/notary\/qualifications\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.sos.ca.gov\/notary\/qualifications\/<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 How long is the Notary Public Commission valid for?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 The term of office for a notary public is 4 years, starting with the commencement date stated in the commission issued by the Secretary of State.<\/p>\n<h3>Q \u2013 How Much Time Do I Have To Complete My Training?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>A<\/strong> \u2013 Your online training course (6 or 3 hour) is valid for 6-months.
